A Tunisian Tasting of Wines and Olive Oils

Tunisia is one of the world’s leading producers of fine olive oil and home to a remarkable wine-producing region.  At this event, guests enjoyed a gourmet tasting of this Mediterranean country’s most delicious exports in the luxurious atmosphere of the Madison Hotel, featuring noted culinary authority Bill Sanders.  Tunisian and Mediterranean appetizers accompanied the selections.

Chef Rafik Tlatli will joined Reinaldo Alfonso, Chef de Cuisine at Chez Philippe, for an evening of authentic Tunisian fare.

The leader of the revival of Tunisian cuisine, prominent Chef Tlatli has recently appeared everywhere from food columns to radio to national television. A native to the Tunisian city of Nabeul, Chef Tlatli attended Hotel and Tourism School in Germany and trained in several European countries. He eventually returned to his home country to enhance traditional Tunisian cuisine while creating innovative modern variations of traditional dishes.
