MEMPHIS, TN – February 28, 2022 – Memphis in May announced surprise artist additions to their acclaimed Beale Street Music Festival line-up today including new headliner Megan Thee Stallion who will make her festival debut when she performs on the ZYN stage on Saturday, April 30. A platinum-selling and Grammy Award-winning powerhouse, Megan Thee Stallion is one of the most captivating voices in hip-hop. The 44th edition of the Beale Street Music Festival is set for April 29 – May 1, 2022, at the Fairgrounds in Liberty Park in Memphis, Tennessee.
Other announced additions to the 2022 Beale Street Music Festival include two-time Grammy-winning reggae artist Shaggy, and fellow Jamaican reggae fusion artist Third World, red-hot Memphis rapper Duke Deuce and local rockers Tora Tora.
The festival also revealed daily artist schedules and single-day ticket pricing and availability in conjunction with the expanded line-up release. The 2022 edition of the Beale Street Music Festival will be presented at the Fairgrounds in Liberty Park to make way for the construction of the redesigned Tom Lee Park. The 2023 Beale Street Music Festival will return to Tom Lee Park and the Memphis riverfront when park construction is completed in April 2023.
Arrangements have been made with Memphis Area Transit Authority (MATA) to operate a free rapid bus shuttle between downtown and the Fairgrounds in Liberty Park during the festival to accommodate out-of-town fans accustomed to staying in downtown hotels. Shuttle details with pick-up and drop-off locations as well as operating hours will be announced in late March.
