2025 GARR 5K
Welcome to the Great American River Run 5K, taking off on Saturday, May 24, 2025! From the banks of the Mississippi River to the streets of Downtown Memphis, the city’s premier river race is the perfect Memorial Day weekend destination.
The 5K is great for runners of all experience levels and is the perfect distance for every member of the family. Whether you’re trying to sprint through the course or looking forward to trying an easier walking pace, this is one race you can’t miss!
Run GARR and you’ll walk away with soft-style 5K race shirt and a 5K medal when you cross the finish line. Plus, you’re invited to the best post-race party in south with assorted sliders, cupcakes and beer!
Bag check opens at 5:30 AM
The start time for the 5K & 10K is 7:30 AM
The Start & Finish line is at AutoZone Park, 200 Union Ave., Memphis TN 38013

You’ll have a bit more pep in your step when you come across our in-course entertainment including fireworks start, post-race food and beer as well as the Start and Finish at AutoZone Park stadium home of the Memphis Redbirds.
Our event is about the EXPERIENCE! You’ll run by historical landmarks throughout downtown and along the Mississippi River.
