Tickets On Sale for 2024 World Championship Barbecue Cooking Contest

Memphis in May officials have announced that tickets are now on sale for the most prestigious barbecue cooking contest on the planet, the Memphis in May World Championship Barbecue Cooking Contest. The 46th edition of the World Championship Barbecue Cooking Contest will be held May 15-18, 2024 at Liberty Park in Memphis. The World Championship Barbecue Cooking Contest (WCBCC) is the largest pork barbecue contest in the world and was featured in the nationally broadcast finale of BBQ USA on the Food Network. This competition is expected to be spectacular as a collection of the most championship-winning teams return to the Memphis in May World Championship Barbecue Cooking Contest to vie for the coveted title of Memphis in May World Champion. “Memphis in May is authentically the heart and soul of Memphis and our World Championship Barbecue Cooking Contest has an unparalleled global reputation for over four and a half decades,” said Mack Weaver, the non-profit’s new President & CEO.  “Memphis in May is always our city’s most diverse party and the WCBCC becomes the biggest, friendliest backyard barbecue in Memphis so everyone is welcome. Plus, everyone already knows, we know how to party.” 

Single-Day, advance, General Admission tickets are $15 each*   

All Four-days, advance, General Admission tickets are $54 each* 

VIPit tickets are $549 each – limited quantity available* 

Attendees can make the most out of the World Championship Barbecue Cooking Contest by adding WCBCC experiences to any ticket, in addition to numerous free public activities throughout the park: 

  • With the Kingsford Tour of Champions you can be a barbecue judge by tasting and voting for your favorite barbecue, the KTOC awards are presented during the Championship Awards ceremony.    
  • BBQ Alley serves up a variety of tasty barbecue only found at WCBCC, sponsored by Big Green Egg. 
  • Cooker Caravan is a free escorted tour that visits competition teams to learn how a team prepares for the World Championship and, of course, valuable grilling tips.
