TEAM APPLICATIONS NOW OPEN!

CALLING ALL BARBECUE TEAMS!

Last year, Teams from over 22 states and five foreign countries converged at the World Championship Barbecue Cooking Contest for one reason – to walk the stage at Memphis in May.

And now we’re doing it again! Here’s your chance to join the Top Guns of Barbecue at Memphis in May.

Whether you’re a barbecue circuit champion or a new Patio Porker team – there’s a place for you at Memphis in May.

Teams compete in four different primary categories whole hog, shoulder, rib, and patio porkers. Plus numerous ancillary contests like sauce, hot wings, anything but (pork) and more.

2025 TEAM APPLICATION

We now have the ability for teams to complete the application online. Apply online here – it’s easy.

Entry fee includes: booth space, entry of one pork category, eighteen (18) 24-hour wristiks for championship pork categories or eight (8) 24-hour wristiks for Patio Porker category, two (2) vehicle load-in passes, one (1) parking pass, a single 110v/20a circuit, and a 2025 WCBCC poster and apron.

We received a large number of applications. Due to space limitations caused by the landscape redesign in Tom Lee Park, several teams will not be accepted into the competition and will receive a full application refund.

Teams will be notified of their acceptance by Friday, March 3rd.

No refunds will be made once you have been accepted into the contest.

Team application deadline is February 17, 2023.

Due to space limitations, not all applications received will be accepted. Entry preference is given to those who complete this application and remit payment earliest, as well as past World Champions and top winners from the previous year. Teams with a guaranteed entry must submit applications no later than January 6th, 2023 to ensure their acceptance.
