Memphis in May Education Curriculum Guide

Each year, the Festival researches the culture, history, and people of the festival’s honored country to develop a comprehensive curriculum guide for use by elementary, middle and high school teachers. In conjunction with the local school systems, Memphis In May distributes this guide to teachers in over 200 city and county schools.

In addition, the guide is sent to home schools, distributed throughout the area library system and available for download from the Memphis in May website.

The guide is divided into grade divisions and offers teachers stand alone activities to incorporate into their daily curriculum that include educational standards from English / Language Arts, Math, Science, Social Studies, Fine Arts, Health / Wellness, and others. With this extraordinary tool, teachers are able to immerse their students in the culture of our honored country.
