Pj Morton

Before becoming one of R&B and gospel’s most respected stars, Dove and Grammy-winning songwriter, producer, and musician PJ Morton spent years honing his craft in the background, working alongside artists like Musiq Soulchild and India. Arie and serving as a longtime member of Maroon 5. A native of New Orleans, Morton has proudly carried the torch for his city’s grand musical legacy on critically acclaimed albums like New Orleans and Gumbo. In 2016, he founded Morton Records, which he envisioned as “the New Orleans Motown.” His most recent album, Watch the Sun, is an impressive showcase of the artist’s uncommon versatility and features guest appearances from Stevie Wonder, Nas, Jill Scott, and more.
